How can activated charcoal help you with better health

Coal is a black or brown flammable hard rock consisting mainly of carbon, which is formed by compressed vegetative remains of many past ages. Ir also contains nitrogen, hydrogen, and sulphur. Activated charcoal is formed by incomplete combustion of coal in presence of activating agent. The process removes hydrogen, and oxygen, which expands its surface area having millions of tiny pores.

Charcoal becomes activated charcoal when high temperature is combined with activating agent to expand its surface area. Activated charcoal is used for water filtration and tiny pores traps impurities of water making water filtered. It is also used for toxin and chemical removals in case of food poisoning, ingestion, and diarrhea. It is also used for reducing bad cholesterol level in blood, cleansing gas, and bloating from stomach, treating insect bites, and rashes.

Charcoal is used for good health, which are discussed below –

  1. Toxin removal – It removes toxin and chemicals in case of ingestion. It can also be used in case of food poisoning, and diarrhea.
  2. Reduces high cholesterol – It reduces bad cholesterol.
  3. Water filtration – Activated charcoal traps impurities in water for example pesticides, industrial waste, and many other chemicals.
  4. Body health – It is effective in treating body odor and acne, insect bites, rashes, and many more.
  5. Cleanse gas and bloating – It works by binding the gas causing bloating.

There are other uses of activated charcoal are 

  1. It is used for the safe and effective treatment of poisoning and drug overdoses.
  2. It is also used in whitening teeth.
  3. It can also be used in only emergency situation when life is at stake by treating life-threatening poisoning and drug overdoses.
