RIP Asha Bhosle Mam

It’s very heartbreaking, shocking, sad, and unbelievable news that Indian playback singer, Asha Bhosle died at the age of 92 due to multiple organ failure in Breach Candy Hospital on April 12, in the year 2026 in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Earlier, she was admitted on April 11 due to chest infection in the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. As per Hospital, She was also suffered from pulmonary complications and cardiac arrest.

Asha Bhosle was also known as Ashalata Dinanath Mangeshkar was a popular singer, and television personality and also known for most influential singer in Hindi cinema in India. She belonged to Mangeshkar family and also was the younger sister of most popular singer, Lata Mangeshkar. She sang several types of songs, such as pop, ghazals, folk songs, bhajans, Indian classic songs, and many more. Asha Bhosle also sang about 20 Indian and foreign languages in her lifetime. 

Asha Bhosle also worked or debuted in the first movie, Mai in the year 2013 and received critical acclaim for her best performance and also recorded around 12,000 songs in her whole career as per sources. She won several awards, such as 9 Filmfare Awards, two National Film Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award, 7 Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback Singer, and many more. Asha Bhosle also won Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Highest Award in the field of cinema of India in the year 2000. She was also received Padam Vibhushan Award, the second highest civilian Award of India in the year 2008.
