Autism is also called as an autism spectrum disorder, which affects the development of the brain. It is also a complex lifelong condition, which affects communication skills, learning ability, behavior, and interaction skills. People with autism face difficulties in communication or social interaction and may require help for every single task. They also have difficulty in learning or understanding what other individuals think and feel. So, it makes it difficult for them to express themselves with the help of signs or words, facial expressions, and touch. It also includes repetitive and limited patterns of behavior, or activities.
Autism can occur at the age of about 3 years and may last for the whole life of an individual but symptoms may improve with time. A person faces difficulty in developing or maintaining communication skills and friendships with other individuals. Autistic individuals also suffer from several mental disorders such as tension, anxiety, depression, loneliness, and hyperactivity disorder. These mental disorders may occur more in autistic individuals as compared with people without autism.
