Muslims celebrate 27 Rajab as a Shab-e-Meraj, which is also called as Night of Miraj and the Al-Isra Wal- Miraj may be celebrated on January 16 in the year 2026. Muslims believed thatv Al Isra Wal Miraj is the night where the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad between Mecca and Masjid Al-Aqsa in the city of Jerusalem in one night before ascending to heaven and this night is also celebrated or honored as Shab-e-Meraj on the 27 Rajab worldwide.

Muslims believed that Isra is the night journey between Mecca and Masjid Al-Aqsa and Miraj is the journey between Masjid Al-Aqsa and heaven. This popular or famous night journey is also known as Night of Miraj or Shab-e-Meraj. As per Muslims, the first verses of the Quean were introduced or revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in Cave Hira, which signifies or marks the starting of the mission of Prophet Muhammad.
It is a day for Muslims to increase prayer, worship, ibadat, reflection, and spiritual devotion on 27 Rajab. The Shab-e-Meraj may be celebrated on January 16 on 27 Rajab in the sacred month of Rajab. Several Muslims offer fasting on this day to celebrate 27 Rajab or Shab-e-Meraj across the world. Muslims also offer prayer, and enhance other forms of worship or ibadat on the night of 27 Rajab.
