Musculoskeletal disorders – It is that type of disorders which may affect the joints, muscles, bones, and ligaments. It is very common and enhances the risk of this type of disorder with an increase in age. Several examples of musculoskeletal disorders are osteoporosis, bone fractures, muscular dystrophy rheumatoid arthritis, tendinitis fibromyalgia, and many more.

All these disorders may affect mobility. There are many common causes of musculoskeletal disorders in children including sports injuries, playground accidents, past car accidents, and many more. There are some other causes of musculoskeletal disorders are vitamin D deficiency, poor posture, and obesity. The severity of musculoskeletal disorders may change in each person. In several cases, this type of disorder causes discomfort and pain which interferes in regular activities. Early or quick diagnosis and treatment may help in treating symptoms and improving long-term outlook.

- Engaging in repetitive motions or movement
- Sitting in the same position for a long time at a computer daily
- Lifting heavy weights
- Maintaining poor posture during work
Prevention – Daily exercise may be beneficial and may help in making strong bones, joints, and muscles that may prevent musculoskeletal disorders. There are several activities that may help in preventing musculoskeletal disorders are given below –
- Careful in lifting heavy weights
- Maintain a good posture that may help in preventing back pain
- Try to maintain minimum motions in daily activities
- Not sitting in the same position for a long time
Thank you Danee for sharing! iam 68 years old and I have this shoulder joint pain since I use to go to the Gym and do 52 kgs bench press but the pain goes after doing two sets and after returning home I have this pain especially it’s more when I lie down on the bed !!
