Mild Heart Attack : Symptoms, Causes, Risk Factors, and Treatment

Mild Heart Attack– It is also known as minor heart attack, is a serious condition, which is caused by small or partial blockage of a coronary artery and may reduce blood flow and oxygen to the heart muscle than normal. During minor heart attack, it danages the heart muscle is often to a small area as compared with intense heart attack. A minor heart attack may occur if the blood flow is partially blocked to the heart due to a partially blockage of artery,  it may harm or damage a small part of the heart muscle as compared with more severe heart attack.

Symptoms of Mild Heart Attack – There are several symptoms of mild heart attack are given below-

  1. Indigestion
  2. Sudden dizziness
  3. Heartburn
  4. Nausea
  5. Problem in breathing
  6. Cold sweat
  7. Chest pain
  8. Weakness
  9. Pain spread to jaw, arm or back
  10. Vomiting

Causes of Mild Heart Attack – The main cause of mild heart attack is the partial or small blockage of coronary artery, which reduces the blood flow to the heart. Minor heart attack may danage small portion of heart muscle, which may be dangerous for future severe heart attack. There are several other causes of mild heart attack are spontaneous coronary dissection (SCAD), blood vessels spasms, congenital conditions or blockages due to a blood clot. Several lifestyle and medical conditions such as obesity, smoking, high blood pressure, continuous stress, diabetes, and high cholesterol may causes mild heart attack.

Risk Factors – There are several risk factors of mild heart attack are given below-

  1. Family History – If a grandparent, mother, or father had a heart attack then it may increase the risk of heart attack.
  2. Diabetes – High sugar level in the blood may increase the risk of heart attack.
  3. High Blood Pressure – High blood pressure may be caused by obesity, which may harm arteries and enhances the risk of heart attack.
  4. Stress – Continuous stress for a long time may cause heart attack.
  5. High Cholesterol – High level of bad cholesterol LDL (low-density lipoprotein   cause narrow arteries, which may cause heart attack.
  6. Unhealthy food – A food high in high oily, high sugar level, high salt, or trans fat may increase high blood pressure, or diabetes may cause mild heart attack.
  7. Obesity – It is associated with diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure may cause mild heart attack.
  8. Lack of physical exercise – A lack of exercise may increase fat or obesity, which is related to high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure may cause mild heart attack.
  9. Increase Age – Male individuals with the age of more then 45 years old may more likely to have a mild heart attack as compared with young individuals and women.
  10. Smoking Tobacco – Long time of using smoking tobacco or secondhand may cause mild heart attack.

Treatment – There are treatment of mild heart attack are given below –

  1. Angioplasty – Angioplasty or stenting is used to open block arteries, which lowers the risk of heart attack in the future.
  2. Bypass Surgery – It is a surgical procedure to bypass the blocked arteries  and make a new path for flow of blood increases to the heart.
