Several Muslims including Shia celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad on 17 Rabi Ul- Awwal. Shia Muslims also visit and ziarat Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad during Umrah.

I also celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad on 17 Rabi-ul Awwal in Medina during Umrah in the previous year. On this day, I went to Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina to ziarat the rauza of Prophet Muhammad. I also offer prayer (namaz) and ziarat Prophet Muhammad shrine in Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.
