Eid Milad un-Nabi 2025

Eid Milad un-Nabi is also known as Eid-e-Milad and will be celebrated on September 4 worldwide, according to the Islamic Calendar. Eid Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated every year on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal worldwide to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad. Rabi ul Awal hold vast spiritual significance for the Muslim community across the world because it honors or marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.  This festival provides opportunity to share the teachings and contributions of Prophet Muhammad in Islam across the world.

Eid-e-Milad is one of the most important festivals or celebration mainly, and is celebrated in the month of ‘Rabi ul Awal’, which holds great importance for the Muslim community across the world. As per the Islamic Calendar, Rabi ul Awal is the third month, and Eid Milad un-Nabi will be celebrated on September 4 in India this year. Muslims celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi with passion and devotion by sharing sweets, participating in processions, offering prayers, listening to naats, arranging Milad at homes, and offering food to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad.

On Eid al-Milad al-Nabi, most Muslims wear new clothes, offer prayers, and wish each other. In several cities, they hold processions (Juloos-e-Mohamadi) to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad.
