In the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), KKR won the match by 8 wickets against SRH due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match, KKR was placed in the 5th position as per points table of IPL 2025. SRH was placed in the last position with 2 points as per points table of IPL 2025.

Earlier, SRH won the match and chose to bowl first thus, KKR first batted and made a huge score of 200/6 in 20 overs due to great batting by Venkatesh Iyer 60 (29), Angkrish Raghuwanshi 50 (32), and Ajinkya Rahane 38 (27). Kamindu Mendis 1/4 (1/, Zeeshan Ansari 1/25 (3), and Mohammad Shami 1/29 (4)  were good bowling from the SRH side. After this inning, KKR set a huge target of 201 runs for SRH to win this match

During chasing, SRH was all out at only 120 runs in 16.4 overs and lost the match by 8 wickets with KKR due to great bowling by Varun Chakravarthy 3/22 (4), Vaibhav Arora 3/29 (4), and Andre Russell 2/21 (1.4). Heinrich Klaasen 33 (21), Kamindu Mendis 27 (20), and Nitish Kumar Reddy 19 (15)  were good batting from the SRH side.

Vaibhav Arora (KKR), 3/29 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling.
