Important Facts about Riaz Ul-Jannah

Introduction—Riaz Ul Jannah is the most sacred place in the Masjid al-Nabawi for Muslims in the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia. In Arabic, the word “Riaz Ul Jannah” means the “Garden of Paradise” and is one of the most sacred and holiest places on Earth for the Muslim Community. Riaz Ul Jannah is located inside the Masjid al-Nabawi between the grave of Prophet Muhammad and the Minbar (a pulpit in the Masjid where the Imam delivers a sermon).

Riaz Ul Jannah is also considered as the Garden of Paradise inside the Masjid al-Nabawi where Muslim pilgrims perform Salah or Namaz (Prayer) in the city of Medina. During Umrah and Haj, millions of Muslim pilgrims visit Riaz Ul Jannah to offer Namaz or Salah, recite the Quran, and seek blessings from the Almighty Allah. It is believed that offering namaz (prayer) in the Riaz Ul-Jannah, a lot of rewards provided by Allah to the devotee. Muslims also believe that offering namaz (prayer) in Riaz Ul Jannah purifies the soul and special closeness to the Almighty Allah in the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia.

Important Facts about Riaz Ul-Jannah – There are several important facts about Riaz Ul-Jannah are given below –

  1. It is believed that offering one Salah or Namaz (Prayer) at Riaz Ul Jannah (Garden of Paradise) is equal to the thousands of Salah or Namaz (Prayer) in any other mosque except for Masjid Al-Haram.
  2. Due to millions of Muslim pilgrims visiting and wanting to offer namaz (prayer) at Riaz Ul Jannah in the Masjid al-Nabawi so Saudi Arabia Government decided to introduce an online booking portal for Muslim pilgrims to offer slots for offering namaz at the Rauza (Rawdah).
  3. Riaz Ul Jannah is considered as the garden of paradise on Earth. According to Prophet Muhammad, there is a garden of paradise (Riaz Ul-Jannah) is located between my house and my pulpit.
  4. There are about eight pillars of Rawdah in the Masjid al-Nabawi at Medina.  Each pillar may be considered as the palm tree trunks which were support the first roof of the Masjid al-Nabawi in the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia.
  5. Riaz Ul Jannah is also popular for its green carpet with flower arrangements. It is believed that green color of carpet in Riaz Ul Jannah in the Masjid al-Nabawi signifies paradise and the flowers represent its garden.
  6. There are about 600 to 700 individuals who can perform salah or namaz (prayer) in Riaz Ul Jannah in the Masjid al-Nabawi at once.
