In the fifth T20 match between India and Zimbabwe, India won the match by 42 runs with Zimbabwe due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match, India won the series by (4-1) in the 5th T20 match against Zimbabwe.

Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bowl first thus India first batted and made a good score of 167/6 in 20 overs due to great batting by Sanju Samson 58 (45), Shivam Dube 26 (12), and Riyan Parag 22 (24). Blessing Muzarabani 2/19 (4), Richard Ngarava 1/29 (4), Sikandar Raza 1/37 (4), and Brandon Mavuta 1/39 (4) were good bowling from the Zimbabwe side. After this inning, India set a good target of 168 runs in 20 overs for Zimbabwe to win this match.

During chasing, Zimbabwe was all out at only 125 runs in 18.3 overs and lost the match by 42 runs with India due to great bowling by Mukesh Kumar 4/22 (3.3), Shivam Dube 2/25 (4), Washington Sundar 1/7 (2), Abhishek Sharma 1/20 (3), and Tushar Deshpande 1/25 (3). Dion Myers 34 (32), Faraz Akram 27 (13), and Tadiwanashe Marumani 27 (24) were good batting from the Zimbabwe side.

Shivam Dube (IND), 26 (12) & 2/25 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match due to great performance in batting and bowling.
