When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?
When I resigned from company as a production engineer due to recession then I took a risk by changing the profile of production engineer to content writer because I like to write blogs and articles during childhood days.
I gain half success in content writing job and presently worked as a freelance content writer in several projects with many clients. When I will get the permanent job as a content editor in the top company with a high salary then I gain full successful in the content writing domain.

I took a risk this morning. I put $3 into the video lottery machine at the bar and was able to get it to $10.25. I should have quit right there, and I knew it. But I didn’t, and I watched it go down to $0, and I’ve been kicking myself for the last couple hours because of it. I play small stakes, $2 to maybe $5, in a session, for the novelty of it. But it’s nice to win sometime. Man I should have taken that $10.25…

I once kinda took a risk. I stood up to my eighth grade Math teacher who was constantly being unfair to me. I could’ve just stayed quiet, but I was angry. She made me stand up because she ‘heard’ me talk during class. Only me. She turned a blind eye to the rest of my friends. And the irony is I spoke like three words. She asked me to identify a shape. It was a trapezium. I was an eighth grader! How dumb did she think I was? I answered. Then she apparently thought I was acting over smart and gave me two really hard sums. I solved them both and she finally stopped singling me out every time (though she did it once in a while) and hopefully she understood that just because I’m not a teacher’s pet that doesn’t mean I’m not smart. Don’t get me wrong, I may not suck up to teachers but I’m still nice to them.

I recently took a voluntary redundancy to try and pursue some of these things I’ve only “wondered” about! Let’s see where this goes 🙂 Hope your writing gig pans out. It’s wonderful to tell stories with words.

Looks like you found your real niche! I, also, left the corporate world to do something similar. Different purpose, but the writing is something I was drawn to long before the company grind nearly destroyed that love!
