Second Ashra of Ramadan – Forgiveness (Maghfirat)

Ramadan – It is also called as Ramzan and is considered as one of the most sacred months for Muslims all over the world. Muslims fast, pray, and give charity (Zakat) to poor people to seek Allah Almighty’s blessings in the holy month of Ramadan.  Holy Quran is the holy book for Muslims as the source of direction or guidance for humanity across the world that was revealed in the holy month of Ramzan. Ramadan is the month of ibadat (prayer), fasting, sacrifice, and devotion which is divided into three Ashras such as Mercy (Rehmat), Forgiveness (Maghfirah,) and Nijat (free from hellfire).

Forgiveness (Maghfirah) – It is the second and an important Ashra of Ramzan that occurs from the 11th to the 20th of Ramadan. In this type of Ashra, Muslims must seek forgiveness for all his/her sins from Almighty Allah. According to Islamic Belief, Almighty Allah opens the door of forgiveness for devotees in the second ashra of Ramzan. Thus, people confess their sins and seek forgiveness from Almighty Allah by ensuring that they will not repeat them in their future lives.

You can recite and learn or clearly understand the Quran that brings Allah’s blessings and pleasure to you in the second Ashra of Ramadan.  In this Ashra, you may seek pardon and forgiveness from Almighty Allah through devotional prayers. Allah Almighty provides a much bigger reward for your devotional prayer (namaz) mainly in the holy month or second Ashra of Ramzan.
