Happy Pi Day 2024

World Pi Day is celebrated every year on March 14 to share the uses of PI in the subjects of mathematics, physics and statistics across the world. This day also honors the birthday anniversary of Albert Einstein, a great mathematician and scientist. The main aim of this day is to honor the steady value of Pi that can be used for calculations in the different subjects of mathematics, physics, and statistics.

Pi is an important symbol in statistics and mathematics which represents the ratio of the circumference of the circle to its diameter with the value of 3.14. When you divide the circumference of a circle by the diameter then you will get the same value of 3.14 whether the circle is small or big. The value of Pi plays a significant role in several calculations in the subject of statistics, mathematics, and physics.

The value of Pi was first calculated by Archimedes of Syracuse who was the greatest mathematician in ancient history and this symbol was first popularized by Leonhard Euler in the year 1737. The value of Pi in fractions is 22/7 which is used for calculations in the subject of mathematics, physics, and statistics. It is important to note that Pi is an irrational number that means its value cannot be expressed as a simple fraction. In mathematics, physics, and statistics, the symbol of Pi is represented as π and pronounced as “pie” and is the 16th letter of the Greek alphabet which can be used in representing a mathematical constant.
