Earlier, the manager of Poonam Pandey claimed that Poonam Pandey died due to cervical cancer that posted on her Instagram on February 2, 2024. The fans of Poonam Pandey were shocked and shared their tribute on several social media websites. Followers of Poonam Pandey do not believe that Poonam Pandey suddenly died. The next day, Poonam Pandey shared a video that I am alive, and her death stunt to spread awareness about the causes of cervical cancer that received widespread criticism.

Poonam Pandey was born on March 11, 1991, in Kanpur and started her career as a model and became one of the top nine contestants of the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest which appeared on the cover page of the fashion magazine. She also became popular by posting her photos on social media websites including Twitter and Instagram. Poonam Pandey played the role of teacher in the popular movie Nasha which was released in the year 2013. She also participated in the reality show Lock Upp season 1 in the year 2022 which was hosted by Indian popular actress Kangana Ranaut.

Poonam Pandey married her long-term boyfriend Sam Bombay on September 1, 2020, and her wedding had to be private due to the coronavirus epidemic. They were married in the presence of family members and close friends. But Poonam Pandey broke the relationship and divorced Sam Bombay in September 2021.
