Republic Day is the national festival of our country when the Indian Constituent Assembly adopted the constitution on November 26, 1949, and came into effect on January 26, 1950, with a democratic government system and becoming an independent Republic. So, we have been celebrating the Republic Day every year on January 26 across the country. Now, India will celebrate the 75th Republic Day in the year 2024.

In the past, the Constitution of India was approved by the Indian Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, was came into force on January 26, 1950, across the country after Independence. Thus, India has declared as the Purna Swaraj on this national day so it was also celebrating the anniversary of the Purna Swaraj Day. Our country celebrates Republic Day annually on 26 January and is declared as a National holiday by the Indian Government.

On the previous day of Republic Day, the President of India speeches to the nation or to all individuals across the country. Our country also invited the chief guest of another country on every Republic Day. Emmanuel Macron, French President will be the chief guest on this republic day. On this national day, formal parades of different states take place at the Raj path in New Delhi which is performed by most of the states as a tribute to India its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage.

The students of several best schools in New Delhi also perform several programs and also sing the National Anthem on Republic Day. Several National awards including Ashok Chakra, Maha Veer Chakra, Param Veer Chakra, Veer Chakra, and many more are distributed to those Indian army individuals who sacrificed their lives in war and terrorist attacks for our country. On this day, the bravery medals are also distributed to children for bravery. Republic Day is also celebrated in all the states of India with parades and many other programs. On this day, the President of India takes a military salute and the governors take a police salute in the parade of all states in India.

The Republic Day is a symbol of pride, reverence, self-confidence, and encouragement to become a Patriot person. On this day, every Indian pays tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to gain freedom for India. Each Indian feels very proud on this day to live in a multi-cultural and independent country.
