It’s a very proud moment for our country that India scripted history and won more than 100 medals in the ongoing Asian Games 2023.  India won the historical or record 107 medals including 28 gold, 38 silver, and 41 bronze in the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China. Earlier, India won 70 medals in the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

India won the highest 29 medals in athletics including 6 gold, 14 silver, and 9 bronze.  Both Indian javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal and Kishore Jena won the historic silver medal in javelin. Annu Rani clinched the gold medal in javelin in the Asian Games 2023.  Tajinderpal Singh Toor won the gold medal in the men’s shot put at the Asian Games 2023. Avinash Sable won two medals including a gold medal in the 3000m steeplechase race and a silver medal in the men’s 5000m race. Parul Chaudhary also won two medals including the historic gold medal in the women’s 5000m race and the silver medal in the women’s 3000m steeplechase race. Harmilan Bains also clinched two silver medals including the silver medal in the women’s 800m race and the second silver medal in the women’s 1500m race. Tejaswin broke the national record and won the silver medal in the men’s decathlon, Manju Rani and Ram Baboo won the historical bronze medal in the 35km race walk mixed team, Vithya Ramraj won 3 medals including the bronze medal in the women’s 400m hurdles race, won the silver medal with Subha Venkatesan, Aishwarya Mishra, and Prachi in the women’s 4x400m relay race, clinched the silver medal with Subha Venkatesan and Muhammad Ajmal in the 4x400m mixed relay race, and many more historic medals in athletics

India won 22 medals in the shooting event including 7 golds. 9 silver and 6 bronze. Esha Singh won three medals including a silver medal in the women’s 25m pistol event, clinched the gold medal with Rhythm Sangwan, and Manu Bhaker in the women’s 25m pistol team event, and won the silver medal with Divya Subbaraju, and Palak Gulia in the women’s 10m pistol team event in the Asian Games 2023. Palak Gulia won the gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event in the Asian Games 2023.

India won 9 medals in the archery including 5 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze in the Asian Games 2023. Jyoti Surekha Vennam won 3 gold medals including won the gold medal in the women’s individual compound archery, clinched the gold medal with Ojas Pravin Deotale in the mixed compound archery, and won the gold medal with Parneet Kaur and Aditi Gopichand Swami in the women’s compound archery. Ojas Pravin Deotale also won three gold medals including won the gold medal in the men’s individual compound archery, clinched the gold medal with Abhishek Verma, and Prathmesh Samadhan Jawkar, in the men’s compound archery, and won the historical gold medal with Jyothi Surekha Vennam in the mixed team compound archery.

India created history and won the historical gold medal in equestrian. The Indian team comprising Hriday Chheda, Divyakriti Singh, Anush Agarwalla, and Sudipti Hajela won the first-ever gold medal in the equestrian event in the Asian Games 2023. Anush Agarwalla scripted history and won the historical bronze medal in the equestrian dressage event at the Asian Games 2023.

India also scripted history and won the first-ever medal in the Sepaktakraw at the Asian Games 2023. India women’s regu team comprising Elangham Leirentombi Devi, Oinam Chaoba Devi, Khushbu, Elangham Priya Devi, and Ayekpam Maipak Devi won the historical bronze medal in the Sepaktakraw event in the Asian Games 2023.

India won 3 medals in badminton including 1 gold, 1 bronze, and 1 silver. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty scripted history and won the gold medal in the men’s doubles badminton in the Asian Games 2023. The Indian badminton men’s team won the historical silver medal in the Asian Games 2023.

India created history and won 5 medals in the squash event including 2 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze in the Asian Games 2023. Indian men’s team defeated Pakistan (2-1) in the squash event and won the historical gold medal in the Asian Games 2023. Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Singh won the historical gold medal in the squash mixed doubles in the Asian Games 2023.

India also won the silver medal in the golf event at the Asian Games 2023. Aditi Ashok scripted history and clinched the silver medal in the women’s golf event at the Asian Games 2023.

India also won 2 medals in the kabaddi including both the Indian women and men team clinched their gold medals in the kabaddi.

India also won 2 medals in cricket including both the Indian women’s and men’s teams clinched their gold medals in the cricket at the Asian Games 2023.

India won 6 medals in wrestling including 1 silver and 5 bronze medals. Deepak Punia won the silver medal and clinched the bronze medals including Sonam Malik, Antim Panghal, Aman Sehrawat, Kiran Bishnoi, and Sunil Kumar won the bronze medals in the wrestling in the Asian Games 2023.

India won 5 medals in the boxing event including 1 silver and 4 bronze. Lovlina Borgohain won the silver medal while Nikhar Zareen, Narendra Berwal, Preeti Pawar, and Parveen Hooda won the bronze medals for India in the Asian Games 2023.

India won 3 medals in the sailing event including 1 silver and 2 bronze. Neha Thakur won the silver medal while Vishnu Saravanan and Eabad Ali won bronze medals in the sailing event at the Asian Games 2023.

India won 2 medals in tennis including 1 gold and 1 silver in the Asian Games 2023. Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale clinched the gold medal in the tennis mixed doubles while Saketh Myneni and Ramkumar Ramanathan won the silver medal in men’s tennis doubles in the Asian Games 2023.

India won 2 medals in the hockey event including 1 gold and 1 bronze in the Asian Games 2023. The Indian men’s team clinched the historic gold medal and the Indian women’s team won the bronze medal in the hockey event at the Asian Games 2023.

India won only 1 bronze medal in the table tennis event in the Asian Games 2023. Ayhika Mukherjee and Sutirtha Mukherjee won the bronze medal in the women’s table tennis at the Asian Games 2023.

India won 2 medals in the chess event at the Asian Games 2023. Both the Indian women’s and men’s teams won the silver medal in the chess event. 

India also won 5 medals in the rowing event including 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. Our country also won 2 bronze medals in the roller-skating event

India won only 1 silver medal in the bridge event at the Asian Games 2023. The Indian men’s team won the silver medal in the bridge event at the Asian Games 2023.

India won the 1 silver medal in the Wushu event at the Asian Games 2023. Roshibina Devi won the silver medal in the women’s 60kg Wushu Sanda category in the Asian Games 2023

India won the 1 medal in the Canoe event at the Asian Games 2023. Arjun Singh and Sunil Singh Salam clinched the bronze medal in the men’s canoe double 1000m in the Asian Games.
