Australia won the third test match by 9 wickets with India

In the third test match, Australia won the match by 9 wickets with India due to great performance in bowling in both innings by Nathan Lyon 3/35 & 8/64. After winning this test match, Australia trails the series by (1-2) in the four test match series against Australia.

India was all out at only 109 runs in the first inning due to great bowling by Mathew Kuhnemann 5/16 (9), Nathan Lyon 3/35 (11.2), and Todd Murphy 1/23 (6). Virat Kohli 22 (52), Shubhman Gill 21 (18), Srikar Bharat 17 (30), and Umesh Yadav 17 (13) were good batting from the Indian side.

In the first inning, Australia was all out at only 197 runs due to great bowling by Ravindra Jadeja 4/78 (32), Umesh Yadav 3/12 (5), and Ravichandran Ashwin 3/44 (20.3). Usman Khwaja 60 (147), Manus Labuschagne 31 (91), and Steve Smith 26 (38) were good batting from the Australian side. After this inning, Australia leads by 88 runs in the first inning.

India again was all out at only 163 runs in the second inning due to great bowling by Nathan Lyon 8/64 (23.3), Mitchell Starc 1/14 (7), and Mathew Kuhnemann 1/60 (16). Cheteshwar Pujara 59 (142), and Shreyas Iyer 26 (27) were good batting from the Indian side. After this inning, India set a target of 75 runs for Australia to win this third test match.

Australia chased successfully a target of 75 with the loss of one wicket and won the match by 9 wickets with India due to good batting by Travis Head 49* (53), and Manus Labuschagne 28* (58) Only Ravichandran Ashwin 1/44 (9.5) took one wicket from the Indian side.

Nathan Lyon (AUS), 3/55 & 8/64, was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling in both innings of this test match.
