It’s very heartbreaking and sad news that Former Union Minister, Sharad Yadav died at an age of 75 on January 12, 2023, in a private hospital in Gurugram due to kidney-related issues. He was suffering from a Kidney problem for a long period and daily underwent dialysis and is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.

Sharad Yadav was an Indian leader from Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD) party and was elected for 7 times to Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha three times from the Janata United JDU party. Earlier, he was the first national president of Janata Dal (United) between 2003 and 2016. When Janata Dal-United was formed then Sharad Yadav became the president of this party. Previously, Sharad Yadav introduced the Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) in May 2018 when Janata Dal (United) alliance with Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) to form Government in Bihar.
Sharad Yadav won the first Lok Sabha Election from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh for the first time in the year 1974 via by-poll when the JP Movement was at its peak. He won the Lok Sabha election four times from Madhepura seat in 1991, 1996, 1999, and 2009.
