RIP Pele, A Football Icon

There is another shocking and bad news in sports that Brazilian Legend Football Player, Pele died on December 29, 2022, at an age of 82 years old due to multiple ailments. Earlier, he was treated for colon cancer with surgery for removing a tumor in September 2021. Pele had been hospitalized with multiple diseases since November.

Pele was a great Brazilian football player who was playing as a forward. He was one of the greatest and most successful football players in the 20th century. He made his great debut in an international football match at 17 years old with a hat trick in the World Cup Final in the year 1958. Brazilian Legend, Pele won three FIFA World Cups in the year 1958, 1962, and 1970. He was the joint-top goalscorer for Brazil with 77 goals in 92 games.

Pele was also named as the Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee in the year 1999. He was also included in the Time list of the 100 most important individuals of the 20th century. Pele was voted as the World Player of the Century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) in the year 2000.
