Croatia beat Japan (3-1) in Penalty Shootout in the FIFA World Cup 2022

In the thriller knockout match of round 16, Croatia defeated Japan (3-1) in the first penalty shootout of the FIFA World Cup 2022. After winning this match, Croatia qualified in the Quarter Final in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

Daizen Maeda scored the first goal in the 43rd minute for Japan which leads (1-0) in the first half of the match. Before the break, Japan leads (1-0) over Croatia during the first half of the match. Ivan Perisic scored the first goal in the 55th minute for Croatia that equalize (1-1) with Japan in the second half of the match. At the end of extra time, Japan vs Croatia (1-1) in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022.

During the Penalty shootout, the goalkeeper of Croatia saves three goals that help Croatia to win this match (3-1) with Japan and enter the quarter-final match in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022. In the first penalty, Japan misses and Croatia scored the first goal so Croatia leads (1-0). Croatia again hit the goal but Japan missed that Croatia leads (2-0) in the second chance. In the third chance, Japan scored the goal but Croatia missed out (2-1). Finally, Croatia again scored the third goal but Japan missed and Croatia won the match (3-1) with Japan in the penalty shootout in the FIFA World Cup 2022.
