Bangladesh won the first one-day match by 1 wicket with India

In the thrilling one-day match, Bangladesh won the match by 1 wicket due to the last wicket partnership of 51 runs between Mehidy Hasan 38* (39) and Mustafizur Rahman 10 (11). After winning this match, Bangladesh leads by (1-0) in the three one-day matches series with India.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl first thus India first batted and was all out at only 186/10 in 41.2 overs due to great bowling by Shakib Al Hasan 5/36 (10), Ebadot Hossain 4/47 (8.2), and Mehidy Hasan 1/43 (9).  K.L. Rahul 73 (70), Rohit Sharma 27 (31), and Shreyas Iyer 24 (39) were good batting from the Indian side. After this inning, India set a low target of 187 runs in 50 overs for Bangladesh to win the first one-day match.

During chasing, Bangladesh loses 9 wickets, reached the target of 187 runs in 46th overs, and won the match by only 1 wicket with India due to good batting by Litton Das 41 (63), Mehidy Hasan 38* (39), and Shakib Al Hasan 25 (38). Mohammad Siraj 3/32 (10), Washington Sundar 2/17 (5), Kuldeep Sen 2/37 (5), Shardul Thakur 1/21 (9), and Deepak Chahar 1/32 (8) were good bowling from the Indian side.

Mehidy Hasan (BAN), 1/43 (9) & 38* (39), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his good performance in batting and bowling.
