Sri Lanka won the match by only 4 wickets with Afghanistan

In the third or last match of the series, Sri Lanka won the match by 4 wickets with Afghanistan due to great performance in batting. After winning this match, Sri Lanka leveled the series by (1-1) with Afghanistan in the three one-day matches series. Previously, Afghanistan won the first one-day match by 60 runs with Sri Lanka in this series.

Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first and made a huge score of 313/8 in 50 overs due to great batting by Ibrahim Zadran 162 (138), Najibullah Zadran 77 (76), and Rahmat Shah 22 (30). Kasun Rajitha 3/60 (10), Wanindu Hasaranga 2/67 (10), Dhnanjaya de Silva 1/42 (8), and Asitha Fernando 1/64 (10) were good bowling from the Sri Lanka side. After this inning, Afghanistan set a huge target of 314 runs in 50 overs for Sri Lanka to win this match.

During chasing, Sri Lanka loses 6 wickets, reached the target of 314 runs in 49.4 overs, and won the match by 4 wickets with Afghanistan due to great batting by Charith Asalanka 83* (72), Kusal Mendis 67 (61), Dasun Shanaka 43 (44), Pathum Nissanka 35 (55), Dinesh Chandimal 33 (32), and Dunith Wellalage 31 (21). Both Rashid Khan 4/37 (10), and Mohammad Nabi 2/56 (10) were good bowling from the Afghanistan side.

Charith Asalanka (SL) 83* (72), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in batting.

Ibrahim Zadran (AFG), was declared as the Player of the Series due to his great performance in the entire series.
