New Zealand won the match by 35 runs with Ireland

In the 37th match of the T20 World Cup 2022, New Zealand won the match by 35 runs with Ireland due to great performance in batting and bowling. The hat trick made by Joshua Little that out Kane Williamson, James Neesham, and Mitchell Santner. After winning this match, New Zealand was placed at the top position with maximum points of 7 points. Ireland was placed in the 5th position in Group 1 as per the points table.

Earlier, Ireland won the toss and chose to bowl first thus New Zealand first batted and made a huge score of 185/6 in 20 overs due to great batting by Kane Williams 61 (35), Finn Alllen 32 (18), and Daryl Mitchell 31* (21). Joshua Little 3/22 (4), Gareth Delany 2/30 (4), and Mark Adair 1/39 (4) were good bowling from the Ireland side. After this inning, New Zealand set a huge target of 186 runs in 20 overs for Afghanistan to win this match.

During chasing, Ireland scored 150/9 in 20 overs and lose the match by 35 runs with New Zealand due to great bowling by Lockie Ferguson 3/22 (4), Mitchell Santner 2/26 (4), Tim Southee 2/29 (4), and Ish Sodhi 2/31 (4). Paul Stirling 37 (27), Andrew Balbirnie 30 (25), and George Dockrell 23 (15) were good batting from the Ireland side.

Kane Williamson (NZ), 61 (35), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in batting.
