Introduction – World Teachers Day is also called as International Teacher’s Day that is celebrated every year on October 5 across the world to honor and thank teachers for their contributions to their students. The main aim of this international day is to identify problems that are faced by teachers worldwide.  A teacher plays an important in our life that educates and prepares me for the best future. Teachers are just like as guardians for every student who helps in preventing difficulties and educates them for a better future.

History – The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced that in the year 1994 World Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year on October 5 across the world. This international day is observed to commemorate or celebrate the anniversary of the International Labor Organization) ILO/ UNESCO adopted the recommendations that concerned about the status of teachers in 1966. This global also celebrates the adaption of UNESCO recommendations that are regarding the status of higher-education teaching employees by the UNESCO General Conference in the year 1997. After that, UNESCO declared that World Teacher Day is celebrated annually on October 5 in the year 1994.

Theme – The theme of World Teachers Day in the year 2022 is “The Transformation of Education Begins with Teachers”.

Significance – Teachers play a significant role in the success of every individual and are the backbone of our society. The main aim of this international day is to evaluate, recognize, and increase the status of teachers across the world. This international day provides an opportunity to know about the difficulties or challenges which are related to the profession of teaching.
