Introduction – World Animal Day is celebrated every year on October 4 across the world to inform people about endangered animals and also teach ways how to rescue them. History – Firstly, World Animal Day is celebrated on March 24, 1925, in Berlin, Germany that was started by a cynologist, Henrich Zimmermann. Henrich was the publisher of a German animal lovers’ magazine that namely “Man and Dog”. The main aim of Henrich is to launch the occasion and to spread awareness about the welfare of animals. 4 October is also popular for the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron Saint of animals.
Theme – The theme of World Animal Day in the year 2022 is “shared planet” which purpose to make a safe environment on a planet for everybody including animals.
Significance – The main purpose of this international day is to promote several groups and communities against the brutal behavior of animals.
