Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first thus India first batted and made a good score of 181/7 in 20 overs due to great batting by Virat Kohli 60 (44), Rohit Sharma 28 (16), and K.L. Rahul 28 (20). Shadab Khan 2/31 (4), Mohammad Nawaz 1/25 (4), Mohammad Hasnain 1/38 (4), Haris Rauf 1/38 (4), and Naseem Shah 1/45 (4) were good bowling from the Pakistan side. After this inning, India set a good target of 182 runs in 20 overs for Pakistan to win this match.

During chasing, Pakistan loses 5 wickets, reached the target of 182 runs in 19.5 overs, and won the match by 5 wickets with India due to great batting by Mohammad Rizwan 71 (51), Mohammad Nawaz 42 (20), and Asif Ali 16 (8). Ravi Bishnoi 1/26 (4), Arshdeep Singh 1/27 (3.5), Bhuvneshwar Kumar 1/40 (4), Yuzvendra Chahal 1/43 (4), and Hardik Pandya 1/44 (4) were good bowling from the India side.

Mohammad Nawaz (PAK), 1/25 (4) & 42 (20), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling and batting.
