In the final or 74^th match of IPL 2022, Gujrat Titans (GT) won the match by 7 wickets with Rajasthan Royals (RR) due to great performance in batting, bowling, and fielding. GT won the maiden first IPL 2022 title after winning the final match with Rajasthan Royals.

Earlier RR won the toss and chose to bat first and made a very low score of 130/9 in 20 overs due to great bowled by Hardik Pandya 3/17 (4), Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore 2/20 (2), Yash Dayal 1/18 (3), Rashid Khan 1/18 (4), and Mohammad Shami 1/33 (4). Jos Butler 39 (35), Yashavi Jaiswal 22 (16), and Riyan Parag 15 (15) were good batting from the RR side. After this inning, RR set a low target of 131 runs in 20 overs for GT to win the final match.

During chasing, GT loses 3 wickets, reached the target in only 18.1 overs, and won the match easily by 7 wickets with RR due to great batted by Shubham Gill 45* (43), Hardik Pandya 34 (30), and David Miller 32* (19). Trent Boult 1/14 (4), Yuzvendra Chahal 1/20 (4), and Prasidh Krishna 1/40 (4) were good bowling from the RR side.

Hardik Pandya (GT), 3/17 (4) & 34 (30), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling and batting.

Jos Butler (RR), a total of 863 runs, was declared as the Player of the Tournament due to his great performance in batting in the whole IPL 2022 season.
