MI won the match by 5 wickets with DC

In the 69th match of IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians (MI) won the match by 5 wickets with Delhi Capitals (DC) due to great performance in bowling and batting. After winning this match, MI remained at the 10th or last position with 8 points in the IPL 2022 points table. DC was out of the Playoffs and was placed at the 5th position with 14 points in the IPL 2022 points table after losing this match. Due to DC losing this match, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) reached the playoffs and was placed at the 4th position with 16 points in the IPL 2022 points table. Gujrat Titans (GT), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were already in the Playoffs.

Earlier MI won the toss and chose to bowl first thus DC first batted and made a low score of 159/7 in 20 overs due to great bowled by Jasprit Bunrah 3/25 (4), Ramandeep Singh 2/29 (2), Mayank Markande 1/26 (4), and Daniel Sams 1/30 (4). Rovman Powell 43 (34), Rishabh Pant 39 (33), and Prithvi Shaw 24 (23) were good batting from the DC side. After this inning, DC set a target of 160 runs in 20 overs for MI to win this match.

During chasing, MI loses 5 wickets, reached the target of 160 runs in 19.1 overs, and won the match easily by 5 wickets with DC due to great batted by Ishan Kishan 48 (35), Dewald Brevis 37 (33), and Tim David 34 (11). Shardul Thakur 2/32 (3), Anrich Nortje 2/37 (4), and Kuldeep Yadav 1/33 (4) were good bowling from the DC side.

Jasprit Bumrah (MI), 3/25 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling.
