LSG won the very close match by only 2 runs with KKR

In the 66th match of IPL 2022, Lucknow Giants (LSG) won the match by only 2 runs with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) due to great performance in batting. After winning this match, LSG was qualified for Playoffs by moving up to the 2nd position with 18 points in the IPL points table 2022. KKR was out of the Playoffs by moving down to the 6th position with 12 points in the IPL 2022 points table after losing this match.

Earlier LSG won the toss and chose to bat first and made a very huge score of 210 runs without any losing wicket due to great batted by Quintin de Kock 140* (70) and K.L. Rahul 68* (51). There is not a single bowler who took a wicket from the KKR side. After this inning, LSG set a huge target of 211 runs in 20 overs for KKR to win this match.

During chasing, KKR scored 208/8 and lose this very close match by only 2 runs with LSG due to great bowled by Mohsin Khan 3/20 (4), Marcus Stoinis 3/23 (2), and Krishnappa Gowtham 1/23 (2). Shreyas Iyer 50 (29), Nitish Rana 42 (22), and Rinku Singh 40 (15) were good batting from the KKR side.

Quinton de Kock (LSG), 140* (70), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in batting.
