In the 40th match of IPL 2022, Gujrat Titans (GT) won the close match by 5 wickets with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) due to great performance in batting. After winning this match, GT was moved up again to the first position with 14 points in the IPL 2022 points table. SRH was placed at the 3rd position with 10 points in the IPL 2022 points table.
Earlier GT won the toss and chose to bowl first thus SRH first batted and made a huge score of 195/6 due to great batted by Abhishek Sharma 65 (42), Aiden Markram 56 (40), and Shashank Singh 25* (6). Mohammad Shami 3/39 (4), Yash Dayal 1/24 (4), and Alzari Joseph 1/35 (4) were good bowling from the GT side. After this inning, SRH set a huge target of 196 runs in 20 overs for GT to win this match.
Due to the great partnership by Rahul Tewatia 40* (21), and Rashid Khan 31* (11), GT won this match by 5 wickets with SRH. In the last over, SRH required 22 runs in 6 balls. Rahul Tewatia hit one six and Rashid Khan hit three sixes including the last ball and won this very close match. Wriddhiman Saha 68 (38) also batted well from the GT side. Only Umran Malik 5/25 (4) was taking wickets and great bowled from the SRH side.
