In the second match of IPL 2022, Delhi Capitals (DC) won the match by 4 wickets with Mumbai Indians (MI) due to great performance in batting.

Earlier DC won the toss and chose to bowl first thus MI first batted and made a good score of 177/5 (20) due to great innings by Ishan Kishan 81* (48), Rohit Sharma 41 (32), and Tilak Sharma 22 (15). Both Kuldeep Yadav 3/18 (4), and Khaleel Ahmed 2/27 (4) were good bowling from the DC side. After this inning, MI set a target of 178 runs in 20 overs for DC to win the second match of IPL 2022.

During chasing, DC loses 6 wickets and reached the target only in 18.2 overs, and won the match by 4 wickets with MI due to great innings by Lalit Yadav 48* (38), Axar Patel 38* (17), and Prithvi Shaw 38 (24). Basil Thampi 3/35 (4), Murugan Ashwin 2/14 (4), and Tymal Mills 1/26 (3) were good bowling from the MI side.

Kuldeep Yadav (DC), 3/18 (4) was declared as the Player of the Match due to his  great performance in bowling.
