Celebrating 125th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose as a Parakram Diwas

Before Republic Day, Jan 23 marks the 125th birth anniversary of freedom fighter, Subhash Chandra Bose was popularly called as Netaji. Now, The Central Government has decided to start celebrations of Republic Day from January 23 as a Subhash Chandra Bose birth anniversary which will be celebrated as a ‘’Parakram Diwas’’. Today, floral tributes will be paid to great freedom fighter, Subhash Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary in the Central Hall of the Parliament House on January 23, 2022.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that an install a grand granite statue of Netaji at India Gate in Delhi before republic day. Until the statue of Bose is made, a hologram statue will be installed at that place is identified for the granite sculpture.

As per a report, the statue of Netaji maybe 28 feet in height and 6 feet in breadth. The statue of Netaji is made up of black stone that will be brought from the state of Telangana. The statue of Subhash Chandra Bose will be located in the canopy that replaces the Amar Jawan Jyoti.  Amar Jawan Jyoti, the ‘’eternal flame’’ was merged with the National War Memorial Torch on January 21.
