In the 51st match of IPL 2021, Mumbai Indians (MI) won the match by 8 wickets with Rajasthan Royals (RR) due to great performance in bowling.

Earlier MI won the toss and chose to bowl first thus, RR first batted and made a very low score of 90/9 (20) due to great bowled by Nathan Coulter-Nile 4/14 (4), James Neesham 3/12 (4), and Jasprit Bumrah 2/14 (4). Evin Lewis 24 (19), David Miller 15 (23), and Yashasvi Jaiswal 12 (9) were the top three scorers from the RR side.

During chasing, MI loses 2 wickets, chased the target of 91 runs in only 8.2 overs, and won the match easily by 8 wickets with RR due to good batted by Ishan Kishan 50* (25), Rohit Sharma 22 (13), and Surya Kumar Yadav 13 (8). Mustaifizur Rahman 1/32 (2.2), and Chetan Sakaria 1/36 (3) took one one wicket from the RR side. After winning this match, MI placed at the 5th position in the IPL 2021 points table with 12 points.

Due to his great performance in bowling, Nathan Coulter-Nile (MI) 4/14 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match.
