Republic Day is a National Festival of India that was celebrated every January 26. On November 26 1949, the Indian Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution and came into effect on January 26, 1950, with a democratic government system and becoming an independent Republic. Thus, we have been celebrating this day every year.

The Constitution of India has approved by the Indian Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, was came into force on January 26, 1950, after Independence. India has declared as the Purna Swaraj on this day therefore it was also celebrating the anniversary of the Purna Swaraj Day. Our country is celebrated Republic Day every year on 26 January and is declared as a National holiday by the Indian Government.

On the previous day of Republic day, the President of India speeches to the nation of India to all Indian people. Our country also invited chief guest of another country on every Republic Day. On this day, formal parades take place at the Raj path in New Delhi that is performed by most of the states as a tribute to India its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage.

The students of some schools in New Delhi also perform several programs and also sing the National Anthem on the celebration day. There are several National awards such as Maha Veer Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Param Veer Chakra, Veer Chakra are distributed to the Indian army who sacrifices their life in war and terrorist attacks. On this day, the bravery medals are also distributed to the children for bravery. Republic Day is also celebrated in all the states of India.

On this day, the Prime Minister of India offer wreathes to the Amar Jawan Jyoti for the tribute to the sacrifices of the Indian army during the war at the India gate. In the parade, the President of India takes a military salute and the governors take police salute in the parade of all states in India.

The Republic Day is a symbol of pride, reverence, self-confidence, and encouragement to become a Patriot person. On this day, every Indian pay tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to gain freedom for India. Each Indian feels very proud on this day that living in the multi-cultural and independent country.
