
The Agra-Lucknow Expressway was inaugurated by Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on November 21st 2016. It is a sign of development works in Uttar Pradesh and is the longest expressway in India and distance at about 302km.

The main objective of the Agra-Lucknow Expressway is to reduce traffic and driving time between Lucknow and Agra. This will also result in drive time between Lucknow and Noida via Agra. The expressway is built by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority. The current journey time between Agra and Lucknow at 7 hours on an average might get reduced to 3.30 hours via the expressway. It is a 6-lane expressway and will be expanding into 8-lanes in upcoming years.


The cost of the expressway is likely to be at Rs 15,000 crore. However, the project was completed in 22 months at a cost of Rs 13,200 crore. The 302km…
