It is the process of establishing connection or link between two points for information exchange. It is simply the process of conveying message at a distance or communication is the basic process of exchanging information.
The electronic equipments which are used for communication reason are called communication equipments. Different communication equipments when bring together together to form a communication system.
Several examples of communication system are line telephony and line telegraphy, radio telephony and line telegraphy, radio broadcasting, point-to-point communication and mobile communication, computer communication, radar communication, television broadcasting, radio telemetry and many more.
The initial communication system such as line –telegraphy originated in eighteen forties (1840s). The line telephony came a few decades later whereas radio-communication could become possible in the beginning of twentieth century on invention of triode valve. Radio communication was promote and greatly improved in World War II. It became more broadly used during the invention of transistor, integrated circuits (ICs) and other semiconductor devices in the consecutive years.
In recent years, communication has to become more widespread with the use of satellites and fiber optics. Now-a-days, there has been an increasing the importance on the use of computers in communication. Social media is also important source of communication such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many more sites. WhatsApp is also main source of communication in recent days.
