World Hemophilia Day is celebrated annually on April 17 to raise awareness about the causes, severity, and treatment of Hemophilia among people worldwide. This global day allows people to share the causes, symptoms, risk factors, and treatment of Hemophilia across the world. It also provides the chance for individuals, healthcare professionals, doctors, hospitals, and organizations to diagnose, treat and care for those individuals who are suffering from bleeding disorders. The main goal of this international day is to raise awareness about hemophilia and many other bleeding disorders worldwide.

Hemophilia is a genetic or rare bleeding disorder in which blood does not clot properly due to the lack of blood-clotting proteins in the body and is dangerous for individuals if not treated. Thus, if you have a small injury then it may cause excessive or extreme bleeding both internally and externally. Internal bleeding may occur in any severe case then it may damage tissues and organs and also may be life-threatening for people. The main cause of Hemophilia is a genetic bleeding disorder, which is passed from parents to their kids via genes and is linked to the X chromosome.
Hemophilia, a bleeding disorder is divided into several types are given below –
