Chaitra Navratri will be celebrated from March 19 to March 27 in the year 2026 to celebrate or mark the starting of the Hindu new year (Vikram Samvat 2083) and also dedicated or worship  of  Goddess Durga and her nine avatars.

Chaitra Navratri is celebrated for 9 days to dedicate the worship of Goddess Durga with her 9 avatars. It is celebrated mainly in the month of Chaitra that marks the starting of the Hindu New Year and may occur during the spring season.

The last or ninth day of Chaitra Navratri is called as Ram Navami to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Ram that marks the end of Chaitra Navratri.
