Introduction – Purple Day of Epilepsy is also called as Epilepsy Awareness Day, which is celebrated annually on March 26 worldwide to spread awareness about a neurological disorder, epilepsy. Purple is the selected color on this global day for epilepsy awareness. symbolizing courage, unity, and hope for those people who are suffering from this neurological disorder worldwide. This global day provides an opportunity to dismiss or dispel myths and support those individuals who are affected by this disorder. Cassidy Megan established Purple Day of Epilepsy in the year 2008 to wear purple and raise awareness about epilepsy.

Epilepsy – It is also called as a seizure disorder, which is a neurological disorder and may causes recurring seizures. Epilepsy is also a brain disease or neurological disorder in which nerve cells do not signal properly which may cause seizures. Seizures are uncontrolled bursts of electrical activities which can change muscle movements, behaviors, and sensations. There is no treatment for epilepsy but about 70 percent of people may manage the disease with medications.

Epilepsy is also a long-term disease that may cause repeated seizures due to abnormal electrical signals, which are produced by damaged brain cells. A burst of uncontrolled electrical activity inside brain cells may cause a seizure which may involve changes to your awareness, emotions, behavior, and sensations. Epilepsy also negative impact on electrical impulse patterns that affect your consciousness, awareness, sensations, emotions, muscle movements, and many more.

Symptoms – There are several symptoms of epilepsy are given below –
