Main Aim of Ramazan

Ramazan – It is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and also called as Ramazan. Ramadan is observed by Muslims in all over the world as a month of fasting. As per Islamic belief, Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. Ramadan is an Arabic word that means dryness or scorching heat. Fasting is compulsory for all Muslims except those who are suffering from an several diseases, pregnant, diabetic, illness, breastfeeding, chronically ill or menstruating and also whose job is based on travelling daily. According to Islamic belief, Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and is an Arabic word that means dryness or scorching heat. Ramadan is celebrated as the month of fasting, praying, and doing good things for 29 or 30 days. It is a significant month for Muslims due to Quaran’s first revelation to Mohammad (A.S), the prophet. Ramadan is a month of spiritual reflection, worship, blessings, and increased devotion.  The Holy Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan, which is a source of true guidance for all mankind. Fasting (Roza) is compulsory for all Muslims except those who are suffering from several diseases or conditions such as diabetes, illness, breastfeeding, being chronically ill or menstruating, pregnancy, or whose job is based on travelling regularly.

Main purpose of Ramadan – The main aim of fasting in Ramadan is to purify the body and the soul that increases their good deeds and also know about the difficulty for thirsty and hungry all over the day. In the holy month of Ramadan, the purpose of Muslims is to grow spiritually and become closer to Allah with their loved ones. It is done by fasting and abstaining from pleasures such as drinking and smoking alcohol and avoiding sexual intercourse from sunrise to sunset each day. The main aim of Ramzan for all Muslims to practice offer five-time regular prayer (namaz), avoid bad words, quit bad habits including drinking alcohol, smoking, fighting, and many more, reduce anger, control on sex desire, and many more, which may help to make a king individual. Several other purpose of Ramazan are help poor people by giving Zakat and Firtah (Charity), spending time with your loved ones, especially parents, avoid backbiting, forgive people, and many more.

This holy month is also a time for unity and spiritual reflection and most of the Muslims spend their time for praying, reciting the Quran and doing good deeds. The main aim of Ramadan is to donate or charity, spend time with loved ones and avoid lying, gossiping. and fighting. This purification of the soul and the body that harmonizes the inner and outer spheres of a person. Ramadan is also a month of Ibadat (Prayer) thus, we also observe prayer (Namaz) during fasting.
