India won the final match by 96 runs against New Zealand and won the third ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this final match, India won the third ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and will become the first country who successfully defend the T20 World Cup Title and histirically won two consecutive ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Titles. India won the third ICC Men’s Ti20 World Cup Titles (2007, 2024, 2026) after winning the final match against New Zealand by 96 runs.

Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first thus, India first batted and made a huge score of 255/5 in 20 overs due to great batting by Sanju Samson 89 (46), Ishan Kishan 54 (25), Abhishek Sharma 52 (21), and Shivam Dube 26 (8). James Neesham 3/46 (4), Rachin Ravindra 1/32 (2), and Matt Henry 1/49 (4) were wicket-taker bowlers from the New Zealand side. After this inning, India set a huge target of 256 runs in 20 overs for New Zealand to win the final match of T20 World Cup.
During chasing, New Zealand was all out at only 159 runs in 19 overs and lost the final match by 96 runs with India due to great bowling by Jasprit Bumrah 4/15 (4), Axar Patel 3/27 (3), and Abhishek Sharma 1/5 (1). Tim Seifert 52 (26), Mitchell Santner 43 (35), and Daryll Mitchell 17 (11) were good batting from the New Zealand side.
Jasprit Bumrah (IND), 4/15 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling in this match.
Sanju Samson (IND), was declared as the Player of the Tournament due to his great performance in batting in the whole tournament.
