The calculation of Fitrah has been described differently by different sects of Islam. Simply, it has been recommended that what we eat regularly should be the basis of calculation. The main items, which have been recommended to pay Fitrah, are Wheat, Barley, Raisin (dried grapes or Kishmish), and Dates (Khajoor), any one of them.
