Happy Republic Day 2026

Republic Day will be celebrated every year on January 26 in India to honor or celebrate the anniversary of India Constitution, which was adopted on November 26, 1949, which came into effect on January 26, 1950.  So, we celebrate Republic Day every year on January 26 all over the country. Our country is celebrating 77th Republic Day on January 26, 2026, as a National Festival.

On this day, formal parades take place at the Raj path, New Delhi which are performed by several states as a tribute to India its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage. Republic Day is also celebrated in all the states of our country. The tradition of celebrating Republic Day to invite chief guest on this day thus, our country invited two prominent or important European Union Leaders, Antonio Costa, who is the President of the European Council and Ursula von der Leyen, who is the President of the European Commission.

The students of several best schools in New Delhi also perform several programs and also sing the National Anthem on Republic Day. Several National awards including Ashok Chakra, Maha Veer Chakra, Param Veer Chakra, Veer Chakra, and many more are distributed to those Indian army individuals who sacrificed their lives in war and terrorist attacks for our country. On this day, the bravery medals are also distributed to children for bravery. Republic Day is also celebrated in all the states of India with parades and many other programs. On this day, the President of India takes a military salute and the governors take a police salute in the parade of all states in India.

The President of India speeches to the nation or to all individuals across the country on the previous day of the Republic Day. On this day, every Indian pays tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in order to gain the freedom for India.

The Republic Day is a symbol of pride, reverence, self-confidence, and encouragement to become a Patriot person. On this day, every Indian pays tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to gain freedom for India. Each Indian feels very proud on this day to live in a multi-cultural and independent country.
