22 Rajab is celebrated widely in India popularly called as Koonday ( or Niyaz of Imam Jafar Sadiq), and is a custom or tradition where delicious sweet dish (pudding or kheer), gulab jamun, halwa, tikiya, and many more are cooked and served in eartheware bowls for individuals. It is important to note that 22 Rajab is observed twice in the year 2026 such as January 11 and December 31 in the year 2026.

It is also a day or time for Muslim community especially Shia to offer prayer or nazar of several sweet dishes such as tikiya, kheer, gulab jamun, mithai, and many more in the early morning.
