National Epilepsy Day 2025

Introduction – National Epilepsy Day is celebrated every year on November 17 to raise awareness about the symptoms and impact of epilepsy among common people. The main purpose of this international day is to inform people about the signs and effects of epilepsy.

Epilepsy – It is one of the neurological disorders which causes recurrent seizures. The seizures occur due to a consequence of sudden extreme electrical discharges in the brain cells. Epilepsy may affect people of any age group, which has unique concerns and problems. It affects the brain activity that causes seizures, sensations, loss of awareness, and periods of unusual behaviors. Epilepsy affects both females and males of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and races.
