It’s a very shocking, heartbreaking, unbelievable, and sad news that Indian actor, Satish Shah died at the age of 74 due to kidney related issues on October 25, 2025. During the corona virus pandemic, Satish Shah was diagnosed with Covid-19 infection and was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on 20 July. 2020 in the city of Mumbai. He was discharged after getting welll or full recovery on July 28 in the year 2020.

Satish Shah was popular for his several best roles in several movies including Main Hoon Na (2004), Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983),  Om Shanti Om (2007), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Fanaa (2006), Purana Mandir (1984), Vikram Betaal (1986), Veerana (1988), Purani Haveli (1989), Hatim Tai (1990), Thanedaar (1990), Narasimha (1991), Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1993), Hum Appke Hai Kaun (1994), Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Ghulam-E-Mustafa (1997), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (1999), Mujse Shaadi Karogi (2004), and many more.

Satish Shah was also co-judged in the popular Comedy Circus, with Archana Puran Singh in the year 2008, which was telecasted on the popular channel Sony Entertainment Television. He was also appointed as the member of FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) society in the year 2015. Satish Shah was also popular in television serials including Filmi Chakkar (1993 to 1995), Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (1984 to 1986), Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004 to 2006), Ghar Jamai (1997 to 1998), and many more.

Satish Shah won the best actor award as a comedian role in the most popular serial Sarabhai vs Sarabhai in the Indian Television Academy Award in the year 2005. He also again won the best actor award for the great comedian performance in the most popular serial Sarabhai vs Sarabhai in Indian Telly Award in the year 2006. He was also nominated for the best comic role in the most popular movie Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro at the Filmfare Awards in the year 1985.
