International Day of the Girl Child 2025

Introduction – The International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated annually on October 11 that marks the achievements of girls and draws attention to the challenges that they face in their lives. It will be the 13th anniversary of this international day in the year 2025. The main purpose of this international day is to empower girls across the world and for the fulfilment of their rights. This international day encourages the gender equity and equality worldwide. This international day provides opportunities to debate the problems that are faced by young girls. Presently, girls faced several problems such as violence against females, discrimination, low learning opportunities, and many more all around the world.

History – Firstly, the conference was held in the year 1995 at the World Conference on several issues of women in Beijing discuss that discuss about the basic rights of girl children. The United Nations General Assembly approved the resolution on December 19, 2011, and declared that the International Day of the Girl Child is observed every year on October 11 globally Firstly, this international day was celebrated on October 11, 2012. This global day concentrates on the requirement to recognize the challenges which are faced by girl children across the world.
