After this inning, Afghanistan set a good target of 170 runs in 20 overs for Sri Lanka to win this match.

During chasing, Sri Lanka lost 4 wickets, easily reached the target of 170 runs in only 18.4 overs,  and won the match by 6 wickets against Afghanistan due to good batting by Kusal Mendis 74* (52), Kusal Perera 28 (20), and Kamindu Mendis 26* (13). Azmatullah Omarzai 1/10 (2), Mohammad Nabi 1/20 (3), and Noor Ahmad 1/37 (4) were good bowling from the Afghanistan side.

Kusal Mendis (SL), 74* (52), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in batting in this match.
