Therefore, this global day is observed every year on September 8 to honor the foundation or creation of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT) in the year 1951. Earlier, World Physiotherapy Day is first celebrated on September 8 in the year 1996 across the world to emphasize the importance of physiotherapy in maintaining a healthy life. This International Day provides allows physiotherapists to share the benefits of physical therapy for better health among common people worldwide.
